Great Central Railway: Last Hurrah of the Season 2015

Due to time constraints with my university studies, this blog is going to be used more for me to post the photographs I take of railways. To begin with are the photographs I took on Sunday 22nd November 2015 at the Great Central Railway’s Last Hurrah of the Season mini steam gala. This gala featured 6 steam locomotives and 1 diesel. These were:

GWR Modified Hall No. 6990 Witherslack Hall

LMS Class 5 No. 45305 (Black Five)

LMS 3F No. 47406 (Jinty)-this was in steam on Sunday to replace the N2 which failed on Saturday afternoon.

GNR N2 No. 1744 (representing the LNER and in light steam on Sunday)

BR 9F No. 92214 (formerly known as Central Star and Cromwell)

SR King Arthur No. 777 Sir Lamiel

BR Class 33 D6535

The theme of the gala was the ‘Big Five’, these being the ‘Big Four’ (GWR, LNER, LMS and SR) and BR.

I have a YouTube channel, named Steam1996, on which I have uploaded a video of the day. This can be found at:
